My Bio |

I was introduced to fishing
when I was in diapers with
my dad. I joined the Navy
and started tournament
fishing while stationed in
California in 1993. Fished
with Pomona Bass Club for
one year then fished a team
tournament trail for 2
years. Came back to Texas
and joined Stephenville Bass
Club while in college and
fished with them 3 years.
Moved to Wetherford in and
fished with Anglers choice
for 1 year. The next
year fished with Texas 100
for 1year. Joined Tarrant
Christian Bass Club fished 2
years with them and had
Angler of the Year the 1st
year. While with the club I
fished the Federation and
qualified for the state
tournament. The next year
fished with Bass Champs and
missed the state tournament
by 2 pounds. Went back to
Tarrant Christian bass Club
and fished the Federation
where I ended up 7 overall. |

I started
fishing at an early age, and
the fire for bass fishing
started on Lake Texarkana
when a large mouth bass
leaped out of the water to
attack a small blue and
chrome crank bait. Even
though I did not catch that
bass, the thrill and
exhilaration has never been
forgotten. To this point my
best finish on the Women's
Bassmaster Tour was 6th
place on Lake Norman in
2006. Like most anglers, I
love the thrill of the fight
when I have a fish on the
other end of my line!
My best finish in 2007 was
3rd on the Red River |

My Bio |

My mother instilled the
great outdoors into me at a
very early age. I was the
Crappie King growing up then
lost interest after her
passing. Several years
later, I net up with some
great new friends that got
me back into the sport
except this time for BASS
and I’ve been hooked since.
The Cast-A-Way Bass club
took me under their wing,
helping me evolve into a
more diverse angler. After
mastering that level, I’ve
moved up into the Media
Circuit as well as fishing
every open I can find to
take it to another level. I
was blessed to win the 2006
McDonalds Big Bass Splash on
Lake Fork helping my plan to
take it to another level in
the next few years. The
most important lesion I’ve
learned throughout the years
is that tackle, more
specifically rods will
increase your learning curve
quicker than anything else I
know of. Networking…You’re
the equal sum of the 5
people that you fish or hang
with the most. So surround
yourself with good equipment
and partners to help move
ahead in this great sport.

My Bio |

A trip to Big Lots when I
was 10 years old got me
started in fishing when I
bought a $13 rod and reel
combo and started fishing a
little pond near my
house. My passion for
fishing grew rapidly from
there. I started tournament
fishing when I was 12 and
won my first club tournament
when I was barely 13 at Lake
Fork. Since then I have won
numerous tournaments and won
3 Top 10 tournaments in the
DFW Wildcatters Bass Club.
In 2006, I qualified as the
youngest competitor at the
age of 17 (and only person
under 18) for the
Texas State B.A.S.S.
Federation Championship. I
placed 35th out of 269
competitors with 48.12
pounds, which is my biggest
accomplishment to date. |

My Bio |

I started fishing at the
young age of 3 on farm ponds
around Troup, TX. With both
parents fishing, it was hard
to stay away. My mother
helped me catch my first
fish and the rest was
history. My dad took me
fishing and hunting with him
all the time (thanks dad).
We fished a lot of Farm
ponds around Whitewright,
TX, where I grew up. He
being a coach sometimes had
its advantages. As I got
older, my dad got a boat,
and we began to fish all of
the new lakes that were
opening. Lakes, Bonham,
Cypress Springs, Pine Creek,
Broken Bow, Hugo, Bob
Sandlin, and the older
Lakes, Toledo Bend, Texoma,
and Tawakoni. Having always
played Sports, and College
Football, I found myself
looking for something
competitive. I had dreamed
as a kid of fishing B.A.S.S.,
but Teaching made a
calling. As more Tournament
circuits started up, I found
my way into fishing
tournaments in North Texas,
to fill that competitive
void. It has been 24 years
since that first tournament;
I still get butterflies and
pre-game jitters, as my
first. I have fished
Tournaments since 1984,
fishing U.S. Bass, Anglers
Choice, Honey Hole, C.A.S.T.
and Media. I am currently
fishing Media Big D & Hwy.
31. With several top
finishes in all of these.
In ’07, 9th AOY,
Hwy. 31. In ’06, 8th
AOY Big D. I still like to
get away to catch other
fish. I guess you could say
I love having my line
stretched by any species of
fish. One word of advice to
someone starting; keep it
simple, process what you
learn, and stay within your
capabilities.

My Bio |

I was born
in Big
Spring, TX,
lived in
Fort Worth
most my
life. Seems
like I've
always loved
to fish.
When I was
12, my
younger
brother and
I caught 24
perch on
Lake Worth
at my great
aunt and
uncle's
fishing
camp, my aunt
cooked them
for lunch.
I've fished
every
opportunity
since
then. Started
bass fishing
with
Bass-n-Gals
in 1993.
When they
shut down
locally in
1994, I
joined the
Arlington
Bass Club,
have been
Tournament
Director 5
years, Vice
President
and
Treasurer
one year
each, and
Program
Director
four
years. I
currently
hold the
club title
for Ladies
Big Bass
which is
also a lake
record for
Lake
Winnsboro,
10.75lbs.
I've been in
the club's
Top Six 5
years and
finished 7th
in the
standings
for 2007.
In 2006, I
fished the
Texas State
Bass
Tournament
with a good
friend and
won the
couples
division.
I've been a
guest on the
Honey Hole
All Outdoors
TV show a
few times
and enjoy
havng the
opportunity
to help
them out
with their
annual
veteran's
tournaments and
getting
some vets
that
participate.
I strongly
encourage
everyone to
take a kid
fishing.
You could be
the one to
encourage a
future
champion.
